The UGM Anthropology Undergraduate Program provides education that focuses on studying human relationships in diverse social and cultural contexts, both in the Southeast Asian region and in other cultural contexts such as Europe, America, and other Asian regions. Through participatory learning, students will hone their sensitivity and ability to recognize the complexity of contemporary socio-cultural phenomena that are relevant to the latest global issues. Students are encouraged to formulate critical questions based on real challenges in society, be able to apply ethnographic methods and be able to understand and apply various cutting-edge anthropological concepts and produce comprehensive and coherent descriptive ethnographic work. The Bachelor of Anthropology program produces graduates who are capable of managing socio-cultural issues in a pluralistic society.
There are four registration pathways available for applying to the Anthropology Undergraduate Program:
1. Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Prestasi (SNBP)
2. Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes (SNBT)
3. Ujian Mandiri UGM Penelurusan Bibit Unggul Berprestasi (UM UGM PBUP)
4. Ujian Mandiri UGM Computer Based Test (UM UGM CBT)
