Announcement of Thesis Supervisor (DPT) Proposal Seminar Results for the 2024/2025 Odd Semester

Following up on the results of the Anthropology Master Thesis Proposal Seminar on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, we attach the results of the distribution of the list of thesis mentoring students.

Some things to note

  1. The results of the distribution of thesis supervisors (DPT) have been adjusted to the calculation of the lecturer’s mentoring load and theme adjustments based on the results of the thesis proposal seminar agreed upon by the Anthropology Master Program Manager.
  2. After obtaining this announcement, please immediately improve the proposal and contact / meet the thesis supervisor to conduct guidance before going to the field.
  3. Before starting the mentoring process, please input data/submit SIMASTER on the menu: Academic, Student Affairs >> Final Project >> Final Project Submission >> Submission >> Final Project.
  4. The requirements for graduation are journal publications and having taken 42-44 credits (including thesis) without grades D, E, and TL during the study period of 4 semesters with 2 semesters of extension.
  5. If students need a research permit, please submit it to Mbak Vero (Postgraduate admin, Faculty of Arts, UGM).

Workshop Existence is Care:

Health, care, and support structures in postcolonial contexts of high cultural diversity

The Department of Anthropology welcomes anyone interested in issues of care within cultural contexts to join the “Workshop: Existence is Care – Health, Care, and Support Structures in Postcolonial Contexts of High Cultural Diversity.”

In collaboration with the University of Münster (Germany), this workshop serves as an interdisciplinary dialogue platform, bringing together anthropologists, psychologists, and scholars from related fields.
