The Doctoral Program in Anthropology was established in 2019 after separating from the Doctoral Program in Humanities. The program has a vision to produce doctoral graduates who are able to carry out ethnographic research independently with a critical, inclusive, reflective, and emancipatory approach, and are able to disseminate research results through scientific publications. The mission of this program includes the provision of anthropology education that teaches critical theory and methodology, directing students to conduct socio-cultural analysis with awareness of their own and academic position, and equipping students with reflective knowledge in specific fields of study. In addition, this program opens up space for students to conduct emancipatory socio-cultural research on various community groups, with an independent, innovative, collaborative, and inclusive learning approach. This program also focuses on the production of knowledge relevant to contemporary humanitarian issues and contributes to finding alternative solutions.
