The library collection room or Anthropology Library is located in room 516, 5th floor of the Soegondo building. The room is south of the Lembaran Antropologi Room (room 514). The Anthropology Library is one of the facilities owned by the department to support students’ needs for comprehensive, high-quality reading materials.
The library’s collection ranges from classic to contemporary anthropology books, including books in Indonesian and foreign languages such as English, Dutch, and Japanese. Additionally, the library houses a well-organized collection of theses, dissertations, and other academic papers that can be utilized by students as supplementary reference materials. In addition to physical library collections, the anthropology library also provides various types of reading materials in PDF format that are accessible to all students.
The Anthropology Library is open from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM on Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 AM to 3:15 PM on Friday. Students and visitors who wish to borrow or return books from the collection are requested to visit the library during these operating hours.
The library room is not only useful for finding and borrowing books for scientific reference, but can also be used as a study and work space. The library room has several tables and chairs that can be used by students. There is one computer available for accessing the library’s catalog. The collection of books and scientific journals available in the library can also be accessed through the available computers. Additionally, students can utilize the printing and scanning facilities available in the library to support them in completing their academic assignments. Research reports and student journals can also be prepared in the anthropology library.
Students who wish to borrow reference books from the library collection must be registered as active students in the Anthropology department at the undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral level. Students can search for the books they need by consulting the catalog and then locating them on the circulation shelves. If they encounter any difficulties, students may seek assistance from library staff. To borrow books for a period of fourteen days, students must record their name and student ID number in the book borrowing and return logbook, accompanied by proof of identification (ID card/driver’s license/BPJS card) or a library card if available. The borrowing period may be extended; however, late returns will incur a fine.
Students can request access to books, theses, dissertations, and other academic materials by sending an email request to the library’s email address (perpusantrougm@gmail.com).
