Faculty of Social Sciences UiA – University of Agder is pleased to announce a full-time scholarship for one student in the Master Programme in Global Development, Crisis, and Change, from August 2024 – June 2026.
Students will need to stay at the UiA campus during their studies and will do a combination of classroom-taught courses and e-learning courses each semester. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, visa, and travel, and there is also a budget per student for fieldwork in their home country.
For students who are interested in applying for this scholarship program, there are some requirements as follows:
- Age group 20-30 years
- BA in anthropology
- Individuals with employment contracts at the partner institution who will be able to agree to return to their employer after completing a master’s degree are prioritized
- Female scholarship recipients will be prioritized
- Students will return to their home countries after completing their education in Norway
- Students must maintain necessary academic progress; they can apply for a maximum of one extra semester.

Department of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam is announcing the vacancy and full-funded PhD position on “Contested Epistemologies of Sustainability” Led by Dr Catherine Wong and Dr. Jaron Harambam, in this project we examine how climate change and the foundational ways of knowing are contested in two radically different contexts: indigenous communities in South/Southeast Asia and conspiratorial communities in Europe.
